Dive Meet Rescheduled

The July 6th meet is being rescheduled, due to a rainout.  The meet will be completed on Monday, July 7th at 6:00 pm.  Home warmups are at 5:00, and Rock Creek will warm up at 5:30.

One Meter Dive Competition

Entering our 11th season, the Dive Team is open to all NCC members age 18 & under on June 1. After an undefeated ’07 season, the team has moved up into Division III.
The season is composed of four dual meets held on Sunday afternoons followed by Divisional & All Stars Meets (for qualifying divers).
We welcome all ages and levels of divers (your child must be able to swim safely from the board to the ladder and be mature enough to take direction from our coaches).
Divers who compete in at least two meets are eligible for a trophy and the right to qualify for Divisionals.

Registration

Registration begins Saturday, May 24, from 10:00 – 12:00, at the pool.  Stop by and meet your teammates and wonderful coaches: Head Coach Aimee O’Rourke and Assistant Coach Alex Rigaux.  We’re pleased to have them on board.

You will need to complete the registration form and the volunteer form, and bring them with you to Registration on Saturday or to practice which starts Tuesday, May 27: 4:15 – 5:00 (10 & Under) 5:00 – 5:45 (11 & Up). More details are provided in the Schedule document. We will have the forms on Saturday and at practice.

Coaches

Aimee O’Rourke: A long-time nationally ranked diver with numerous awards and honors. Aimee completed her freshman year diving for the Univ. of Cal/Berkley. She is a home-grown NCC Diver.

Alex Rigaux: Another veteran NCC Diver. Alex is a rising junior and Divisional Champ at BCC.

Reese Cassard: Diving in his 8th year for NCC, Reese is a rising sophomore at Gonzaga College H.S

Parker Rigaux: A year-round accomplished diver for the Montgomery County Dive Team- welcome!

Volunteers Needed: We can't run the team without your help!

With each registration form and check, please complete a volunteer form. Requirement: 2 meets so we can share the responsibilities. Recruiting: Judges, Announcers, Table Workers, Concession Sales.

Coordinators: Concessions, Volunteer, Social Events, Swim/Dive Banquet, Sharx Merchandise, and Bulletin Board.

2007 Awards Banquet

The Diving Awards Banquet was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and was a memorable occasion saying good-bye to the O’Rourke Family who has relocated to New Jersey and has been a big part of our program for many years.
