How to become a pool member

Information on joining the pool, including membership types, dues, and initiation fees.

To get on one of our waiting lists, please print, fill out, and mail in the Membership Application along with the application fee.  Additional information is on the application itself.

Membership Provisions

The Association is authorized to have 350 family memberships. In a typical year, 20 or so members resign, thereby creating a like number of openings for new members. To provide for an orderly process for receiving new members, the Association maintains two waiting lists on a first-come, first-served basis. Once on the waiting list, one need not apply again.

In-area and Out-of-area Members

The first waiting list is for "in-area" applicants. This list includes applicants who live in a defined residential area, as set forth in the Bylaws. The second waiting list is for "out-of-area" applicants.

In-area applicants are given priority for memberships. Only in the event that all in-area applicants have been offered memberships are any remaining memberships offered to out-of-area applicants.

In addition to regular memberships, there are several types of temporary memberships.

Temporary Memberships

Temporary memberships are offered to applicants on the waiting lists. As is the case of regular memberships, in-area applicants are given priority over out-of-area applicants. There is no guarantee that temporary memberships will be available to all applicants on the waiting list, however, every effort is made to accommodate as many applicants as possible.

Summer Temporary

Summer Temporary memberships result when members elect to go inactive for the current summer season. These memberships are then offered to applicants on the waiting list(s). Those applicants being offered Summer Temporary memberships are notified by mail in April. The number of memberships available is determined by the number of inactive members and will vary year to year.

This membership is for a limited period of time within the current summer season and is available from July 16 until Labor Day.
