Desperately seeking swim officials
Here's the deal. As many of you know, it takes a million people to run a swim meet and everyone who volunteers deserves our thanks. Indeed, there are multiple families that provide two volunteers at most Sharx meets each summer. You may have noticed some moms and dads standing poolside wearing sporty blue shorts and a white shirt - holding a clipboard, wearing a whistle, or operating the starter's strobe. These are our officials and without them we wouldn't be able to staff a meet. Trouble is we are running dangerously low on certified officials and we need your help! This summer, please consider becoming a stroke and turn judge, a starter, or a referee.
No previous experience
necessary. Free training provided by MCSL at any of the training
sessions on or after June 3 (May 31 is for referees only). New swim
team families: this is your opportunity to make a splash. And for all
you timers out there, how about taking your swim meet experience to the
next level! The official's training schedule is listed below. For more
information, please feel free to call Michael Gan at 301-929-5226 or
